The M2602 Carpenter is a long range bolt-action rifle developed by Coleman Development Industries from the designs for the M1903 Springfield rifle of Terran antiquity. The Carpenter features a primarily wooden body with steel internal components. It uses a 5-round stripper clip with an internal box magazine. The weapon is identical to the M1903 Springfield.
The weapon is issued to a squad's Long Rifleman or a Sniper Team for long-range, precision fire.
